Get Outside the Classroom
A key highlight of Chevron RMC 2017 will be a full day visit to the Komatsu Cartersville Customer Center in Cartersville, GA.
The Cartersville Customer Center is a state-of-the-art training and demonstration facility conveniently located 35 miles from Atlanta, GA and 75 miles from their manufacturing facility in Chattanooga, TN. It houses 5 classrooms, a 150 seat auditorium, 20,000 sq. ft. shop, and a 35-acre demonstration center.
In addition to teaching and showcasing their signature machines, Komatsu engineers, designers and expert operators also develop new technologies and test heavy equipment prototypes at the Cartersville facility that help to advance and define the construction industry.
During our visit, we’ll learn about recent innovations at Komatsu and we’ll see some of these advancements in practice at their main demonstration area.
Attendees will also break into smaller groups to enjoy some personal training and individual “stick-time” on actual machines that will be setup on multiple demonstration areas. These demo-training areas feature various material types and terrains that accurately duplicate real-world projects and job sites.
Tour the Delo Truck
Chevron’s 80-foot, eye-catching mobile education center, the Delo Truck, will also be on-site and open for visitors. Take a trip through the truck’s 18 interactive and informative exhibits demonstrating the importance of premium performance heavy-duty engine oils, lubricants and coolants. Check out the lack of wear and tear on parts from three different engine teardowns and watch a video of a PACCAR MSX 13 engine teardown, demonstrating the difference ISOSYN technology and Delo products can make for your equipment, whether On or Off-Road.
While on-site at the Cartersville Customer Center, close-toe shoes and long pants are required, and jeans are appropriate. Hard hats and steel toe boots are not required.
